A CARDIGAN man was yesterday (Friday, August 17) cleared of charges of child sex offences.
Daniel John Treu, aged 30, of Barton House, Priory Street, Cardigan, had been on trial at Swansea Crown Court this week accused of several sex offences against two young girls.
Treu had always denied the accusations and told the jury he could not understand why he had been subjected to "hugely upsetting and wicked allegations."
He said none of the incidents complained of had ever taken place.
The jury returned unanimous verdicts of not guilty and Treu was discharged.
