SARNAU village hall started their events with a carnival in the village on Saturday in the field by kind permission of Tom Keasey.
The weather was not very kind but the showers held off for the princess and her attendants to enter the marquee.
The princess was Hawys Davies and her two attendance were Eirianwen O' Connor and Ffion Evans. The president was Miss Vicky Painting, Morfa Isaf ,Llangranog.
The fancy dress followed but entrants were down this year judges were Vicky Painting, Jenny Davies and Caryl Griffiths.
Prizes were given out to the children who had entered in the handicraft section which was judged by Jenny Davies but the sports had to be cancelled as the rain came pouring down.
Tonight (Wednesday August 15) there is a concert by Blaenporth Male voice choir, soloist Ceri Davies, Coedybryn chairman for the evening Ben Davies, Eglwyswrw to begin at 7-30pm.
Thursday quiz night, coffee and chat at 7pm, everyone welcome.
