CEREDIGION Roads Policing Unit seized four vehicles in a day as motorists from outside the area flocked to the coast.
The first driver was stopped – with a passenger dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow! They had come down from the Midlands to party by the sea but the driver had no licence or insurance.
The next driver was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt and was then found to have no insurance or tax, while a warning was issued for the condition of a front tyre.
The third car stopped was a family with an inflatable on the way to the beach with no tax, which can invalidate insurance.
Last up was a car containing a band from Liverpool. The vehicle had not been taxed for four months and had two defective tyres.
All the drivers had their vehicles seized and face associated costs and fees to get their cars back, plus any fines and points imposed by the courts.
