CARDIGAN lifeboat was launched on Friday evening (July 13) to retrieve a boat which had come adrift.
Milford Haven Coastguard requested the launch of Cardigan's inshore lifeboat to a speedboat that was adrift in the River Teifi.
It had apparently broken its mooring and was being carried up towards Cardigan with the incoming tide.
The crew were paged at 6.45pm and the lifeboat was on scene at approx 16.55pm.
Another boat on the river had stopped with the speedboat and it was returned to the pontoon at St Dogmaels and secured.
The lifeboat returned to its Poppit Sands station at 7.40pm.
