PROBLEMS with garden waste being fly-tipped in Cardigan were raised at a meeting of the town council.

Cllr Catrin Miles said she had seen great clumps of grass cuttings and other garden waste dumped along roadside verges.

“When Ceredigion County Council come along to strim the verges it all comes down and does not get cleared,” she said.

“I don’t know what the solution is. People are taking it there in their cars so if they can do that surely they can take it to the waste site at Penparc?

“I know people who cannot get up there because they are elderly and I take it for them. Just to simply throw it all at the side of the road is not acceptable.”
