A 30-YEAR-OLD Cardigan man has lost his licence for a year and been fined after admitting drink-driving.
Gerald Robert Knight, of Queen’s Terrace, Cardigan, was stopped by police at Gloster Row in the town on June 17 while driving a Fiat Tolento van. He had 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Knight pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
The bench banned him from driving for 12 months and fined him £160. He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
