A DRUG-driver has been banned from the roads for a year after appearing before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Piers Joscelyn Nicholas Mason-Watts, of Cwm Cou, Newcastle Emlyn, admitted the offence, which took place on March 18 when police stopped his Volkswagen Golf on the A486 at Horeb.
The 26-year-old provided a positive reading for cocaine, with the level of benzoylecgonine at 180mg per litre of blood. The legal limit is 50mg.
As well as being banned from driving for 12 months, Mason-Watts was fined £120 with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
