NEWCASTLE Emlyn door, window and conservatory company Ffenestri Kevin Thomas has been named best in its division for customer satisfaction – for the second year running – at this year's Independent Network members' weekend in Warwickshire.

The annual Independent Network (powered by VEKA) awards are based on customer surveys, which are carried out by every homeowner who has made a purchase from an Independent Network business over the past 12 months, as a condition of membership.

A total of six companies made the shortlist for best customer service in this particular category with the Capel Iwan-based business being announced winner, as well as scooping a 100 per cent certificate for outstanding customer satisfaction for 2017-2018.

This year’s ‘Best of British’ Members’ weekend – which aims to bring all the Network’s members together to review and reflect on the past year, while also getting together to share ideas and experiences – included afternoon tea, a gin bar, Great British disco, and a 1am curry to round off the night.

Held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth, the awards event is a calendar highlight for members of the organisation and this year’s host was the former footballer and TV pundit Chris ‘Kammy’ Kamara.

Karen Lund, head of partner programmes for VEKA Group said: “Huge congratulations to Ffenestri Kevin Thomas for taking this trophy back to Wales for a second time.

“The theme of this year’s event was ‘Best of British’ so it’s fantastic to see a Welsh company take home one of the prizes. Thanks to all the team for putting in such hard work over the past 12 months, they are very worthy winners.”

Awards host Chris Kamara added: “Well done to all the nominees for this category, but especially FFenestri Kevin Thomas for taking home the trophy for the second time, maybe next year might be a hat-trick?”
