A WOMAN accused of stealing from a Cardigan dog charity has been told the charges against her have been dropped.

Victoria Jane Oldale, aged 29, had been due to stand trial today (Thursday, June 14) accused of stealing £2,209 from the West Wales Dog Rescue charity.

But Judge Keith Thomas, sitting at Swansea crown court, was told yesterday the Crown Prosecution Service wished to abandon the case and would offer no evidence against Oldale.

He entered a formal verdict of not guilty.

Oldale, who now lives at Hoylake, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, had denied stealing the money between April 10 and June 7, 2016.
