A Cardigan man has admitted shoplifting
A CARDIGAN shoplifter has been ordered to pay compensation and handed a conditional discharge.
Steven David Whitfield, of Williams Row, Cardigan, appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre where he pleaded guilty to stealing 12 items worth £144.42 from Aldi in the town on February 16.
A previous arrest warrant issued against Whitfield for non-appearance was withdrawn by the bench after he surrendered to the court.
The 44-year-old was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £144.42 in compensation. He also has to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
