A DRIVER had a lucky escape from serious injury after a large branch crashed down on her car yesterday lunchtime (Thursday, May 24).
The motorist was travelling along the Moylegrove/St Dogmaels road past the Croft junction on the A487 outside Cardigan when the accident occurred.
It is understood a lorry travelling in the opposite direction knocked down the overhanging branch, which then fell onto the car.
Another motorist who arrived on the scene shortly afterwards said: βIt was very lucky the driver was not hurt. It could have been so much worse.β
