A DRUG-driver who was also found in possession of drugs has been banned from the roads for 12 months.
Daniel Richard Angel, of West Winds, Newquay, was stopped on the B4342 at new Quay on January 7 and gave a positive test for cannabis of 11 microgrammes per litre of blood. The legal limit is two microgrammes.
The 30-year old pleaded guilty to drug-driving and also admitted being in possession of four etizolam tablets, a class C drug.
Angel was handed a 12-month driving ban by magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre. He was also fined £350, with 85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge. The tablets were ordered to be destroyed.
