CARDIGAN lifeboat was called out to help two boats yesterday morning (Sunday, May 6).
While the inshore lifeboat was preparing to go out on exercise, a call was received that two vessels were having problems in the main channel opposite the Glanteifi in St Dogmaels because of the sea mist that had come in.
Milford Haven Coastguard was contacted and the inshore lifeboat was sent to assist. They were then helped off the sandbank and then made their own way out to sea escorted by the inshore lifeboat.
The call was received at 10.30am and the inshore lifeboat resumed its normal Sunday morning exercise at 10.55am.
