THE official launch of 'Crwst' in Cardigan town centre was held last night (Thursday, April 5)with the support of the local community.

More than 100 people attended the event for the new bakery/cafe/bar/bistro at the old Siop y Cardi building, which has been transformed in recent months and Heno on S4C filmed the event live.

"The night went really well. It was great to see the place full and having the support of local businesses and the community," said business owners Catrin Parry Jones and Osian Wyn Jones.

"We’ll be selling our organic bread, seasonal bakes, local/Welsh produce and also our brunch menu during the day. Things have grown so quickly for Crwst over the last year and a half so we’re really excited to see what the future brings."

Mayor of Cardigan Cllr Richard Jones attended the event and was delighted with the venue and its transformation.

He said: "It really is excellent to see two young people from the area opening such a great business here in Cardigan town.

"When you drive in to Cardigan, the building here is the first thing you see and I wish Catrin and Osian the very best for the future."
