RESIDENTS in the Maesglas and Heol Helyg area in Cardigan face disruption over the next month or so while essential drainage work is carried out.
Cllr John Adams-Lewis told a meeting of Cardigan Town Council that the work was essential as a new pipe is being put in down the bridle path in the area to prevent flooding, with the work scheduled to last until March 23.
He said: “I have personally taken letters to houses in the area to tell them what is going on.
“The road is going to be closed for a month or more, though if the weather is favourable it might be completed sooner.
“The work is being funded by a grant from the Welsh Assembly to do flood prevention work and hopefully once it is completed there will be less water going down there.”
