A LLANDYSUL woman has appeared in court to plead guilty to a string of shoplifting offences.
Danielle Amy Jones, of Ger-y-Lan, Velindre, Llandysul, admitted the thefts from shops in Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen. The 23-year-old also admitted breaching a conditional discharge previously imposed for shoplifting in Newcastle Emlyn.
Jones admitted stealing a power bank and charger worth £11.98 from B&M in Carmarthen on October 31, plus a pack of 25 tea lights, six glass cup tea lights and a knife and fork worth £10.98 from the same store.
She also pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £7.87 from Co-op Stores in Newcastle Emlyn on January 5 this year, plus a further £9.42 worth of goods from the same store on January 11.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre imposed a community order on Jones, ordering her to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
Jones must also pay compensation of £17.29 to the Co-op, along with £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
