A ‘VULNERABLE’ woman in the Cardigan area was conned out of £4,000 by a fraudster pretending to be from BT Openworld. Police and Age Cymru Ceredigion both issued warnings for people to beware of scams and never to give out personal details.

DAMAGE to a potentially life-saving defibrillator in the main car park at St Dogmaels was condemned as ‘beyond belief’.

LONG-standing Cardigan town councillor and former chairman of Ceredigion County Council Mark Cole announced that he would be standing down at the forthcoming local elections. He was mayor of the town in 2006, aged 26, and was county council chairman in 2012-13, aged 29.

ROWERS turned out on the River Teifi to commemorate the life of St Dogmaels Rowing Club member Jonathan Wiltshire, with 19 boats taking to the water to raise money towards a permanent memorial for him and his mother Yvonne, another stalwart of the club who died in 2014.
