IT has been a busy couple of days for Ceredigion Road Policing Unit as they have battled to cope with the wintry weather but still had to deal with offending drivers.

A car was stopped in Brynhoffnant due to excess speed in poor road/weather conditions and a woman driver was arrested after allegedly being found in possession of cannabis and testing positive for cannabis.

Another motorist was stopped due to manner of their driving in Cilgerran. The driver provided a negative breath test but the car had not been taxed since April 2017 and was seized.

In Cardigan an alleged, drug driver was stopped and arrested after testing positive for cannabis.

Further north, a motorist was stopped on the A487 Llanrhystud and the driver reported for using a vehicle in a dangerous condition. Drivers are being warned to make sure they have clear visibility from every window before setting out.

An alleged drink-driver was arrested in New Quay on Saturday following a single-vehicle accident.
