X-FACTOR hopeful Lloyd Macey has been ‘just amazing’ according to his tutor Buddug Verona James, from Rhoshill, near Cardigan.

Twenty-three-year-old Lloyd, from then Rhondda, is currently in the running to win the X-Factor. He has been studying with Buddug since 2015 when he commenced the Welsh-medium BA Perfformio (Performance) degree programme in Cardiff (UWTSD).

“It has been a roller-coaster ride,” said Buddug. “When he got through the first round, it was a very difficult time for me, because you can’t tell anyone, and I’m not good at keeping secrets.

“Then, as the competition progressed and Lloyd got through every round, I was bursting with pride and excitement and wanted to tell the world.

“So when he got through to the live shows it was such a relief to be able to talk about his success and progress in the competition.

"I have been to every show and the atmosphere is electric. All the competitors have their friends and family supporting them. Lloyd has been just amazing in every show."

“There are two more shows before the final. His latest song ‘A different corner’ is currently number 10 in the charts. The main thing is that everyone gets behind Lloyd now so that he gets to the final.”
