A 76-year-old Cardigan man has been banned from the roads for 12 months after admitting drink-driving.
Handley Gearing, of Y Rhos, was stopped by police on the A487 at Tremain on October 19. He had 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre banned Gearing from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £400, with £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
