AN escaped lynx is still roaming wild in the Ceredigion countryside despite the best attempts of wildlife experts to catch it.
The Eurasian lynx, called Lillith and about twice the size of a domestic cat, escaped from Borth Wild Animal Kingdom some time during the past week.
Dyfed-Powys Police has urged members of the public not to approach the big cat as it could become aggressive if cornered and have asked members of the public to remain vigilant.
Bait traps have been set up to try to catch the big cat but so far she has eluded them all. Keepers have tranquiliser darts to hand as a last resort.
Ceredigion County Council officers closed the park on Monday "for public safety".
