A 48-year-old Newcastle Emlyn man who has been jailed three times this year for making nuisance 999 calls has been made the subject of a two-year criminal behaviour order.

Malcolm Roy Edwards, now of no fixed abode and who is currently serving a 15-week prison sentence, appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre who imposed the order.

Edwards must attend an alcohol substance misuse course as his anti-social behaviour occurs when he has been drinking.

Under the terms of the order, Edwards must not be drunk in any public place in England and Wales; consume alcohol in any public place; contact police, ambulance service or other emergency services for medical advice or aid or must not encourage by his actions anyone else to do so on his behalf, save in genuine need of the emergency services, requiring immediate assessment, action or

treatment; contact police, ambulance service or other emergency service without providing his full name, address and current location and to remain at the location until police or other emergency services arrive, or he is informed that he may leave.
