KIDS, are you brave enough to spend at night at the museum over Halloween?

Ceredigion Museum will be hosting its first ever sleepover in conjunction with Abertoir, organisers of the annual Aberywstywth Horror Film Festival,

The event on October 31 is not for the fainthearted, with a showing of the 1984 American comedy horror film Gremlins followed by spooky tricks, treats, games and a survivors breakfast for those that make it through the night.

Ceredigion Museum’s events organiser Holly Owen said: “The museum is a different place at night, surrounded by old mysterious objects and curiosities; by sleeping the night in the museum we will bring history and mystery alive. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children.

“We are excited to be opening the museum up for a sleepover and we hope to run more events like this in the future along different themes.”

The event is for children from eight-13 and youngsters need to bring a survival kit that includes a parent or guardian, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, pillow, clothes to sleep in and warm clothes, torch, midnight feast, lucky teddy or object to keep you safe, hot water bottle, camping cup and a washbag.
