A CARDIGAN driver has been banned from the roads for 12 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
Kenneth John Moore, of Bro Teifi, admitted driving a Ford Mondeo estate at Feidr Fair, Cardigan on August 12 with 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
The 41-year-old also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre banned Moore for a year, along with an £80 fine and £85 costs. He was also ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge.
Further charges of driving while disqualified and with no insurance on June 4, which Moore denied, were both dismissed.
