A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital today (Wednesday, September 20) following an accident on the A478 at Pentre Galar, near Crymych.

The crash between the bike and a parked car left the rider of the motorbike in Glangwilli Hospital. The road was closed from 8.30am until 11am.

An ambulance was called to the scene at 8.15am, with fire service personnel following at 8.26am.

A spokesman for the Welsh ambulance Service said: “We were called at approximately 8.15 this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a stationary car in the Crymych area.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a male – the motorcyclist – was taken to Glangwili General Hospital. We have no further information re his injuries.

Firefighters from Crymych station were also called to the crash. They were tasked at 8.26am and helped make the area safe, as well as helping paramedics with the casualty.

They returned to station at 9.38am.
