A NEWCASTLE Emlyn man and woman who stole a credit card and tobacco, alcohol and clothes from shops in Cardigan have been handed community service orders.

Agnieszka Katarzyna Krawczyk, aged 29, of Llys Y Wawr, Bryngwyn, and Marcin Bernard Sorankowski, aged 37 of the same address. both admitted the theft of the credit card in Cardigan on August 30, along with items from several shops in the town totalling £138.04.

Krawczyk also admitted being in breach of a previous conditional discharge imposed earlier this year at Swansea Magistrates’ Court, while Sorankowski was in breach of a previous community order imposed by Llanelli magistrates.

Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre imposed community orders on both Krawczyk and Sorankowski, ordering them to carry out 245 hours of unpaid work each in the next 12 months.

Both were also ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs, along with compensation taking the total to £238.99 each.
