A VAN driver who smashed into the back of another car has been fined for driving without due care and attention.
Ashley Lloyd Davies, of Bowls Road, Blaenporth, was in a string of traffic following a refuse truck on the A487 Cardigan to Tanygroes road on March 16.
The lorry stopped, as did two cars following it but 32-year-old Davies, driving a Vauxhall Vivaro, failed to stop in time and ploughed into the back of a Nissan Qashqai.
Davies pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at Aberystwyth Justice Centre. He was fined £110 by magistrates, with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge. He also had his driving licence endorsed with three penalty points.
