A CARDIGAN man who harassed and threatened a woman in Newcastle Emlyn and was in possession of a knife in a public place has been given a community rehabilitation order and served with a restraining order.

Kenneth John Moore, of Bro Teifi, Cardigan, appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre where he admitted threatening the woman with a clenched fist, sending various texts and messages to the woman between July and October last year and sending threats to her and another person.

The 41-year-old also pleaded guilty to carrying a knife in Newcastle Emlyn in October last year.

As well as the community order and restraining order, Moore was fined £100, ordered to pay £100 compensation, along with £250 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
