A Newcastle Emlyn man has been jailed for 19 years this afternoon for the rape of two teenage girls.
Steven Alan Evans, aged 54, had denied the offences but a jury at Swansea crown court returned majority verdicts of guilty.
The jury heard that Evans, of Llwyncelyn in the village of Pentrecagel, told one of his victims it was no use her resisting because he was too strong for her.
Judge Keith Thomas said the offending called for consecutive sentences and jailed Evans for 10 years and nine years.
After his eventual release from prison he will have to register with the police as a sex offender.
Evans had claimed all the allegations had been invented.
