FAMILY and friends gathered yesterday at the funeral of Jem Pendragon to celebrate his life.

The popular 22-year-old from Newcastle Emlyn died in the River Teifi on Thursday, July 6.

Jem, who worked as a bartender at the town’s Bunch of Grapes pub, is understood to have got into trouble after entering the water. His body was found after an extensive search by the emergency services.

His funeral service was held yesterday afternoon, with Jem’s coffin carried on a Harley Davidson motorcycle sidecar through the town after crossing over the river from Adpar.

The funeral cortege stopped at the Bunch of Grapes, where Jem’s family and friends had gathered to bid him farewell as music was played in his memory.

The cortege then went through the town and travelled via Cenarth and Crymych to a service at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth.
