A CARDIGAN couple are the first to take advantage of a new “live wedding” painting service from Newcastle Emlyn artist Helen Elliott.
Christine Linfoot and Dyfed Symmons, from Penparc, invited Helen to attend their wedding at Mwnt Church in June and produce a painting to commemorate the occasion.
“We have always loved Helen’s paintings, especially of Mwnt beach, so to have one of our wedding there is fabulous,” said Christine. “It’s something unique that we can treasure for years to come.”
“It was a fabulous experience to be part of Christine and Dyfed’s big day”, said Helen. “There was a great atmosphere. The guests were really interested in seeing the painting develop as the day went on.”
The couple, who met on a night out in Cardigan 12 years ago, spent a week in the South of France after the wedding with a full honeymoon in Costa Rica planned for the New Year.
The painting was paid for by Christine’s parents as their wedding gift.
