POLICE are investigating after a 37-year-old man was killed in a collision on the A487 at Penparc, Cardigan, at around noon yesterday (Sunday, June 18).

Two emergency ambulance crews were called to the scene, but Karl Kraus, from Cardigan, died from his injuries.

Mr Kraus’s wife, Suzi Kraus, has paid tribute to him on behalf of their family.

She said: “It is with great sadness we announce that Karl passed away yesterday.

"He leaves behind his wife Suzi, sons Ollie and Liam, and step children Chloe and Kai.

"The family are thankful for all your well wishes, however would appreciate if their privacy was respected at this very sad and difficult time.”

The son of former Pembroke Dock mayor Peter Kraus, Karl and Suzi were married last summer.

An active member of the Cardigan Bikers, Karl also attended the Christmas Toy Run and Easter Egg Runs with the Amigo Bikers in Pembroke.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the collision, which involved a black Yamaha motorcycle, travelling in the direction of Aberaeron and a silver Volkswagen Golf, travelling in the direction of Cardigan.
