CARDIGAN RNLI volunteers were called out last night (Tuesday, June 12) at 10pm following a request from UK Coastguard, which received a call from a visitor to the area to report a sailing vessel believed to be in difficulty near the Webley Hotel.
The D-Class lifeboat ‘Elsie Ida Meade’ was launched at 10:12pm and began a search of the area. The Atlantic 85 class boat was then launched at 10:45pm following a request from the UK Coastguard and both boats carried out a search of the area.
No vessel was found and both boats were stood down at 11pm and returned to the lifeboat station.
