CARDIGAN Castle is set to have its busiest summer yet as visitors flock to the site in the wake of its success on the Channel 4 Restoration of the Year programme.

The castle has enjoyed high-profile television coverage – and is now looking for more volunteers to help deliver the area’s top visitor attraction.

Do you have a few hours to spare during the week? The castle needs volunteers to help in the garden, steward events, take guided tours or simply just chat to visitors.

Training is offered and it is a great chance to get to know one of Ceredigion’s most important historic sites.

The summer theme days kick off on April 19 with the medieval day, followed by Georgian day on May 1 and Eisteddfod day on August 23.

There are also guided tours of the castle’s medieval basement on April 21 and 28 plus the full summer events programme with Theatr Mwldan.

If you want to join the valued volunteer team at Cardigan Castle, then pop into reception, call 01239 615131 or email sue.lewis@cardigancastle.com.
