A Llandysul man has admitted downloading hundreds of indecent images of children.

Sean Phillip Souter, 32, appeared at Swansea crown court before Judge Keith Thomas for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

He admitted three offences of making indecent pictures of children between September, 2014, and January, 2016, —261 in the most serious category A, 129 in category B and 546 in category C.

Souter also admitted possessing two extremely pornographic images in that they depicted people engaging in sexual intercourse with animals.

Souter is currently of no fixed address having been arrested and held in custody for breaching his bail conditions by failing to attend either a police station or an earlier court hearing.

Judge Thomas agreed to sentence Souter on March 10 to allow time for a probation officer to prepare a report into his background.

But he warned him that a jail sentence remaining an option.

Souter was remanded into custody until then.
