Police are appealing for information after a dog attacked sheep and lambs at a farm in Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn.
Four sheep were left injured by the attack and three remain missing following the incident.
Police officers believe that the attack took place sometime between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday, February 14.
Paw prints near the farm have left officers to conclude that a large dog was responsible for the attack, but it is not known who the owner is or who the dog was.
Officers have attended the farm and have advised neighbours that their sheep might be at risk if the dog returns.
Anyone with information regarding the attack is asked to call 101.
