A WEST Wales housing association has scooped a top honour from the Welsh government.

Tai Ceredigion was awarded the Silver Corporate Health Standard at an awards ceremony at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium.

The Corporate Health Standard initiative, run by Welsh Government, is the quality mark for workplace health promotion in Wales, re-assessed every three years.

The standard is awarded as bronze, silver, gold and platinum categories to public, private and third sector organisations that implement practices to promote the health and well-being of their workforce.

“Tai Ceredigion’s health and wellbeing team have worked tirelessly on behalf of their colleagues to achieve the Silver level accreditation — less than a year after gaining the Bronze,” said Steve Jones, the association’s chief executive.

“This is an outstanding achievement - and they already have the Gold award within their sights.

“The team will continue to provide support, arrange activities and events and keep the general health and well-being of their colleagues at the heart of all their projects.”

Assistant director business development Catrin Owen received the award on behalf of the association.
