Citizens Advice Ceredigion is inviting residents to free Christmas-themed events aimed at getting people clued-up about smart meters.
The charity will be offering free refreshments, prizes and giveaways at the events, which will also be attended by other local groups.
The events will run from 11am to 3pm and will be held at Aberystwyth St Anne’s Hall on Thursday, December 8, The Feathers Hotel in Aberaeron on Monday, December 12 and Cardigan Guildhall on Tuesday, December 13.
All are welcome and the energy team from Citizens Advice will be on hand to talk money-saving tips, income maximisation and ways to get help over the winter.
Energy Champion, William Jones says: "The Smart Meter roll-out can be confusing for people, especially those on pre-payment meters or renting their home.
"These events are informal and fun, with children’s entertainment laid on for the little ones, so families and people of all ages can find out more, while having a free cuppa, bite to eat and general chat."
This event comes hot on the heels of Big Energy Saving Week, where people saved up to £350 on the spot on their fuel bills and where three lucky winners of the free raffle - drawn by Ceredigion MP Mark Williams - had home-delivered hampers.
