Despite the drizzle, hundreds of people were transported back in time at the annual Victorian Evening in Newcastle Emlyn.
Chestnuts were roasting on stalls along the street, mulled wine was sipped in all the shops and there were plenty of mince pies to enjoy.
Shops stayed open late and embraced the Victorian theme by donning their best costumes for the night.
Throughout the night the shire horses with their cart gave visitors rides up and down the high street.
Mayor Odette Little presented awards for the towns Best Establishment during the Victorian night.
Dewi James Butchers took first prize, Fair and Fabulous came in second and Makers Mark came in third place.
