A Pentrecagel man faces 12 charges of rape relating to incidents alleged to have taken place between 2011 and 2013
A PENTRECAGEL man has appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates charged with 12 counts of rapes.
Steven Alan Evans, 52, faces eight charges of raping a girl under 16 and four charges of raping a girl over 16.
He also faces two charges of sexual assault of an under-age girl.
Evans appeared at court on November 2 and indicated a plea of not guilty to the charges.
The rape charges relate to incidents alleged to have taken place between March 2011 and October 2013.
The sexual assault charges relate to incidents alleged to have taken place between October 31 and December 1, 2007.
Evans will appear before Swansea crown court on December 2 for a preliminary hearing.
