Local charity members and Cardigan's Mayor attended the launch of the new B&M store in Cardigan.

On Thursday, August 4 at 9am the new B&M Cardigan store which has provided 80 local jobs was opened.

Local representatives from Welsh Air Ambulance took centre stage as they officially unveil the new B&M store alongside the local mayor, Cllr Clive Davies.

The new store manager, Craig Lewis, said: “The team from Air Ambulance really stood out for us as they go the extra mile for the community, we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.

“We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”

He also commented: “We can’t wait to get the doors open on Thursday and show customers their new B&M Cardigan.”

On Saturday, August 6 customers will also be able to enter the B&M Big Prize Bonanza, a free game show taking place at the store from 9am.

Come to the store on the day and be in with a chance of winning prizes including a Russell Hobbs Vacuum Cleaner, B&M vouchers, Cadbury’s Chocolates and much more.

There will also be a facepainter in store to transform customers into their favourite super heroes, animals or characters.

The former B&Q’ store has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme and created more than 80 new jobs for local people.

B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers and customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded and own label products including toys, food & drink, home ware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal ranges.

The store will also boast an extensive DIY, decorating and furniture range, as well as a garden centre.
