FRIENDS of bricklayer Trefor Woodgate, who suffered a serious leg injury playing football earlier this month, got their backs into car washing to raise funds for the footballer and St Dogmaels Football Club.
The seven-hour soap-sud marathon was held on Sunday at the BV Rees garage (formerly Jewson’s) in St Dogmaels and was supported by a large number of motorists from a wide area, raising a significant amount for the fund.
One of the organisers said “We were amazed at the response and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the event.”
Further fund-raising is to take place on Sunday, April 10 with a duck race in the River Teifi and a barbecue on the green outside Teifi Inn.
