S4C celebrity cookery competition Pryd o Sêr reaches a dramatic climax as the stars prepare food for a wedding reception for Dre-Fach Felindre couple.

The brave couple who agreed to let the celebrities cook food for their wedding reception is Siân Thomas and Gethin Williams, who live in Dre-fach Felindre near Llandysul.

"It's such a stress to find a wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses so handing someone the responsibility to organise our food was a blessing," says Siân, 40.

"We hadn't planned to get married so quickly but when we found out that the Pryd o Sêr stars were looking for a local couple to take part in the show, we wanted to do it. We thought it would be a laugh to get to know the stars and that we'd have a brilliant experience."

There are two titles up for grabs with the celebrity cooks hoping to be crowned the series’ star chef or to be part of the winning team.

"We discussed which food we like but we didn't find out what was on the menu until the Thursday, and we were getting married on the Friday. Everything was out of our hands, and I found that really hard," says Siân, who's an advisory teacher and originally from Coed-y-Bryn, near Cardigan.

Siân and Gethin first met 22-years-ago at a Taekwondo course. They did go on a date but nothing came of it.

Then, three and a half years ago they met in a sports shop in Carmarthen and after a few conversations on social media, they got together.

They got engaged when Gethin went down on one knee behind Sgwd yr Eira waterfall, in the Brecon Beacons.

Siân has refused to confirm whether the food was to her taste, "You'll have to wait and see." she laughs.

With so many guests and dishes to prepare our eight stars face a huge challenge.

Tune into Pryd o Sêr on Sunday, February 21 to see if the stars can put the icing on the cake at the end of the series as they prepare a wedding feast to remember.
