Action for Children is holding a Quiz Night at the Ship Inn in Langrannog to raise money for their Ceredigion Young Carers service.

Ceredigion Young Carers help vulnerable children and young people aged between 6-18, who care for a parent, sibling or close member of their family, who suffer with a long term illness, a mental health disorder, disability or a misuse of alcohol and/or drugs.

The quiz at the Ship Inn in Llangrannog will take place on Friday, January 29.

Service coordinator, Nicola Crossman said: “These children and young people do a fantastic job for the people they care for, often under the most difficult of circumstances. I’m humbled daily by these amazing young people and I'm raising money to be able to take them away for a short holiday and to help give them a childhood they deserve. So I hope as many people as possible can come along to the Ship Inn Llangrannog for a fun quiz night with raffles to support a fantastic local charity.”

Raffle prizes have been donated from a number of local businesses including vouchers for the Hungry Trout in Newquay and Pentre Inn in Llangrannog, wine from the Darkgate St branch of Spar in Aberystwyth, goodies from the Cuckoo Nest in Llandeilo and Beach Hut in Llangrannog.

The Ship Inn, as well as hosting the quiz. is also offering a meal for two as one of the raffle prizes.
