A LUXURY north Pembrokeshire cottage has beaten stiff competition to be named the bed and breakfast with the friendliest hosts in a nationwide competition.

Nantwen is a romantic luxury cottage located in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park near Newport. It is run by Daniel and Jemma Slade-Davies who are passionate about providing their guests with an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Personal touches, including a luxurious welcome pack of goodies such as raw chocolate made by the couple themselves, and a fresh food service create a homely atmosphere for cottage guests.

The Dorset Cereals B&B Awards launched earlier this year and since then the public and a panel of expert judges have been selecting their favourite B&Bs in categories including; quirky character, breakfast like no other, friendliest hosts, a dog’s best friend and best overall.

After six months the final selection has been made with Nantwen triumphant for the owners’ warm hospitality and high standards all round.

Daniel and Jemma were presented with their award on Tuesday, November 24.

Daniel said: “Nantwen is a rural retreat where guests can relax and enjoy the tranquil Welsh countryside. We are very passionate about making our guests feel comfy and relaxed so we’re delighted to have been recognised for Nantwen’s welcoming atmosphere in the Dorset Cereals B&B Awards.”
