Brondesbury Lodge Residential and Nursing Home in Cardigan celebrated it's silver anniversary.

The home has spent 25 years caring for the community and a Silver Jubilee party was held to celebrate its work.

The home was built in 1990 by Mrs Vanita Patel as 'A Gentle Home for the Elderly' and was opened on November 3 that year by Geraint Howells MP.

In 2004 Mrs Patel sold the home to the current owners, brothers Guri & Jagdip Guram and Mrs Jolly Joseph was appointed manager.

The Mayor of Cardigan, Councillor John Adams-Lewis and his wife Morina Adams-Lewis, Councillor Catrin Miles and Councillor Graham Evans attended the party.

The Mayor and Councillors congratulated Mrs Joseph and the caring staff at Brondesbury Lodge on providing 25 years of excellent service at the home.

Cllr John Adams-Lewis noted that having such an amenity within Cardigan town is a wonderful attribute for the district that is appreciated by many families.

The Mayor and members of the Town Council reiterated the home's motto of 'a gentle home for the elderly' and expressed their confidence that Brondesbury Lodge has a positive future under Mrs Joseph's leadership.
