A group of students and staff from Coleg Ceredigion recently joined post-match celebrations on the set of the hit S4C show Jonathan.
The trip, organised by Coleg Ceredigion’s Bilingualism Team, united students and staff across the two campuses as they travelled to the BBC studios in Cardiff to watch the Wales versus Fiji match prior to recording the “Jonathon” show as members of the invited audience.
The show’s hosts, former Welsh international rugby player, Jonathan Davies, a former student at Coleg Ceredigion Cardigan back when it was known as Cardigan College.
He was joined by fellow hosts Sarra Elgan and Nigel Owens and guests Hollywood actor Matthew Rhys, and internationally-renowned guitarist Peredur ap Gwynedd originally from Crymych near Cardigan.
Anna ap Robert, Welsh Language Advisor at Coleg Ceredigion, said: “It was a great experience for our students and it was encouraging to see them take pride in their Welsh identity. Everyone thought it was worth every moment - especially after beating Fiji.”
