A member of staff at Coleg Ceredigion recently held a small cake sale for staff to raise money for Macmillan cancer charity.
Ffion Evans, who works as a Student Welfare Officer at the Aberystwyth campus, organised a cake sale in the college’s staff room to raise money for the charity that provided valuable care for her late father. Staff were invited to bake cakes to sell during their morning coffee break.
“Many thanks to all staff at Coleg Ceredigion, Aberystwyth for supporting the Macmillan Cake Sale,” commented Ffion about the event. “Macmillan is a charity that’s very close to my heart; I decided to hold this cake sale as part of the Macmillan Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning following support received by my family from Macmillan nurses to care for my late father.”
At the Cardigan campus, GCSE students made their own cakes to sell on a stall at the college’s main reception area.
A total of £100 was raised across both campuses.
