A WOMAN who went missing from Gwbert has been found.

A police spokesman said: "Dyfed Powys Police is very pleased to confirm that 73 year old Myfanwy Horton from Cilgerran has been found safe and well at approximately 3pm this afternoon.

"Everyone involved in the extensive multi-agency search – police, HM Coastguard, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Western Mountain Rescue Team and local volunteers– are thanked wholeheartedly for their efforts throughout the operation, which has led to Mrs Horton being found.

"Members of the public who called 101 with vital information and those who engaged in the social media are also thanked for their input in ensuring Mrs Horton was found safely."

Mrs Horton went missing from the View Point, Cliff Hotel, Gwbert, at around 5pm on Saturday September 5, 2015.

POLICE are continuing to search for 73-year-old missing person Myfanwy Horton from Cilgerran.

She was last seen at the View Point, Cliff Hotel, Gwbert, at around 5pm on Saturday September 5, 2015.

Mrs Horton is approx 5 feet 6 inches tall, of medium build and has dark coloured hair.

An updated description says she is wearing metal rimmed glasses, a baseball cap, black trousers, a three quarter length light green coat and flat plimsoll shoes.

Mrs Horton was last seen carrying an extendable walking stick and a leather effect black handbag.

Police are leading a multi-agency search operation with with the Coastguard, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Western Mountain Rescue Team and local volunteers.

Members of the public are urged to call police with any sightings or information on 101 quoting reference 281.
