After a difficult 18 months and having been written off as a viable concern the Teifi Valley Railiway Limited returned.

The Teifi Valley Railway Limited began passenger carrying services again at 3pm on August 18.

.Although operating on a small section of track they are now well on the way to re building the line.

The train on the track was a Ruston hauled single carriage recently painted to its former glory.

The volunteers have been working very hard and are hopeful that the popular Quarry Hunslet Alan George will be running in the next week along a longer track. One local resident who was there to see the carriage on its way said: "It was thrilling to see the engine go off and to hear that whistle blowing across the valley again, we have certainly missed it around this community."

A small band of volunteers have been busy working on the line and the grounds and the Society and Management would like to express their thanks to everyone on the team as well as the wider railway community for their support and offers of assistance.
